Cincinnati Library Branches Offer Career and Tech Workshops

Throughout April, The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County will offer career and technology workshops at various branches. From building and tailoring a resume, to preparing for interviews, to setting up an email and learning keyboard basics — these advancement workshops are an opportunity for individuals to gain valuable skills at no cost.

Here is the April schedule:


Career Advancement

Tuesday, April 2, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Anderson Branch

This workshop includes three sessions led by OhioMeansJobs, which focus on tailoring resumes for the current job market, perfecting an elevator speech, and organizing the job search. Those hoping to attend this workshop must be job seekers who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Entry-level or early to mid-career professional

  • Currently employed and looking for the next opportunity

  • Looking to transfer skill sto a career in a different field

  • Retired and looking to re-enter the workforce.

At this workshop, guests can expect to learn about the components of a computer and operating basics, like how to use a mouse and keyboard and how to navigate the internet.
