Cincinnati Library to Host Opioid Epidemic Forum
On Saturday, February 2, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County will host an Opioid Epidemic Community Forum at 2 pm in the Reading Garden Lounge.
The panel discussion will focus on how the opioid epidemic is affecting Greater Cincinnati, and it will be moderated by Terry DeMio, the Cincinnati Enquirer’s heroin reporter. DeMio was one of the staff writers who received a 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Local Reporting on “Seven Days of Heroin.”
Other panelists include Craig Davidson, assistant health commissioner for Hamilton County Public Health; Roxana Hawkins, director of addictions clinical practice at Talbert House; and Newtown Police Chief Tom Synan, who is also a member of the Hamilton County Heroin Coalition.
