Gratitude in Action

Gratitude in action is waking up and thanking God for my life.

Gratitude in action is giving thanks in prayer because I have food, shelter, clothing, running water and so much more. Gratitude in action is giving something to someone who has less and expecting nothing in return.

Gratitude in action is recognizing positive actions of another and telling them I appreciate them. Gratitude in action is accepting violence, anger and rage that comes from others and not following the same pattern.

Gratitude in action is working hard at recovery, praying, supporting others, attending groups and meetings, and finally practicing self-care with little resources. Gratitude in action is practicing and providing unconditional love to myself, those I love, and those who have never had that kind of love.

Gratitude in action is contagious. Please care the messages of love, hope, happiness, joy and serenity — not the mess.
